01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

Choose two or three cakes from the display and enjoy them with a drink. UN GRAIN’s dine-in set is a pleasing way to sample its bite-sized mignardises one at a time. One diner who chose the three-piece set wrote that the small portions made it possible to enjoy citrus, chocolate and cheese flavours together.

Among the cakes, Shilons combines the aroma of bergamot from Kochi Prefecture with yoghurt and sencha. One visitor described a yoghurt mousse with a citrus jelly-like layer, making for a refreshing impression. Dignite, by contrast, pairs orange and hazelnut with chocolate that has citrus and floral notes. A diner said the fruity chocolate and crunchy texture stood out. Put a light citrus cake beside a chocolate-and-nut one, and even two small pieces offer a pleasing contrast.

The set comes in two options: two pieces with a drink or three pieces with a drink. Choose three if you want to try more cakes, or opt for two if you would rather take your time over a pair of favourites.

Baked treats are available to take away, too. The thick Breton biscuit, for example, is made with coarse French salt for a subtle savoury note. Other options include Sablé Café, with coffee flavour mixed into the dough, and Sablé Parmesan, a savoury biscuit accented with onion and almond aromas. Whether you settle in for tea in Minami-Aoyama or take home a mix of flavours, these small confections make it easy to choose according to your appetite and mood.
